Can I bring my children with me when I volunteer?

Children between the ages of 12 and 16 may be present in the shelter under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian, but for safety reasons, may not handle the animals. Children over the age of 16 may handle animals under the direction of a lead volunteer. While children under 12 are welcome to visit the shelter, we ask that parents do not bring children under 12 for their volunteer rotations.
